Together as a church, we are challenging ourselves to give 10% of our income to the house of God for 90 days, beginning January 1, 2020.
By submitting your name, you commit to reach toward tithing 10%
of your gross income from January 1-March 30, 2020.
(Don’t think you can afford 10%? Commit to stretch as far as you can.)
To the right, enter your total income from January 1-March 30, 2020. (If you have variable income, estimate based on trends.) The form will calculate 10% of that amount. Then, select how frequently you will give.
The total will display how to divide your tithe up into each recurring gift.
Yes! We would still love for you to commit to the challenge, even though you might not make any changes to your regular giving. If you so desire, you may also choose to create your own generosity goal above 10% for the next 90 days.
There is a much stronger Biblical case for tithing off your gross income. In the Bible, the tithe was taken from our “first fruits.” That’s your gross income. Also, when we tithe off the top, we’re trusting more in God and less on our own resources.
Giving online is easy! You can set everything up here.
Entirely up to you, and whatever is most convenient! The challenge focuses on gifts given between January 1-March 30, 2020, but the frequency doesn’t matter.
Definitely. Setting up a recurring gift is an assurance that we won’t forget (or, “forget”) when the time to give arrives. To set up your online gift as recurring, simply select “Set up recurring” here.
No, but that is when the challenge begins. If you’d like to give according to your pay schedule, you can set up your giving in a way that makes sense to you. But we do recommend starting in January.
The 90-Day Challenge is a practical—and entirely personal—opportunity to respond to the Bible’s teaching on tithing to the Lord. Church of the Resurrection is not raising money for a project or a campaign.
