DESCRIPTION:Join our Rez Youth mission trip\, “Mission : Together”! Learn what God is doing in and through the Latino community in Chicagoland. \nThis trip is a joint service and learning opportunity alongside youth and leaders from Aviva Anglican Church. Aviva congregations meet both here in our cathedral (Sundays at 1pm) and in Little Village\, a predominantly Mexican immigrant neighborhood on the southwest side of Chicago. In this trip Rez youth will serve alongside youth from Aviva to reach the Little Village neighborhood via a vacation Bible school and soccer outreach. They will also learn biblical perspectives on immigration\, race and culture while visiting places like the home of Martin Luther King\, Jr.\, and his family while he fought housing segregation. \n\nAges: This mission trip is for current 8th-12th graders. Due to COVID-19 realities\, we only have slots available for 20 youth this year.\nCost: $400. DESCRIPTION:Join the March for Life car rally on Saturday\, January 23. Caravan with other Rez members to Chicago to voice that every human life needs protecting. The rally and procession begins at 1 p.m. in Chicago. You’ll listen to the rally as you ride/drive. We’ll make our way through downtown\, past key city\, state\, and federal buildings\, making our voices known by our presence. At the end point of the procession at 2:30 p.m.\, you’ll have an opportunity to support babies and their parents by donating diapers to local pregnancy resource centers. \nMore abortions happen in Chicago than anywhere else in the Midwest\, and babies and their mothers need your support. Join us to advocate for the unborn. \nMeet at Rez.
