The Whitakers and their five children have been serving in Phnom Penh for the past eight years. During this event\, the Whitakers will share stories and updates on their ministry. \nThe Whitaker family is deeply connected to Rez and were sent as Rez missionaries to serve. As a pediatrician\, Dr. Heidi assists Cambodian physicians in the training of Cambodian medical students and residents. Dr. Gregory is rector for the English-speaking congregation of Church of Christ Our Peace in Phnom Penh. \nIf you did not RSVP\, you are still welcome to join the info session\, but the light lunch is prioritized for those who did RSVP.

DESCRIPTION:The men’s retreat is a time for building friendship with other men and growing in our walk as disciples of Jesus. \nThis year’s theme is the “Man\, the Moment\, the Mission.” What is godly manhood? What does it mean to be a believer in this generation and moment in history? What is the specific mission God has for you? Be equipped and strengthened\, and get ready to have fun. \nThe retreat will be held Friday\, October 8\, through Saturday\, October 9\, at Cedar Lake Ministries in Indiana. The schedule includes ample time to enjoy each other’s company and multiple leisure activities\, including:  rock climbing\, 9-Square-in-the-Air\, basketball\, baseball/kickball backstop\, sand volleyball\, a beach\, ladder golf\, and more. \nCheck-in is from 4-6pm on Friday\, October 8\, with the first session starting at 6pm. Dinner is at 7pm. The retreat will conclude by 6pm on Saturday\, October 9\, after the closing dinner. \nRegistration deadline: September 19.
