Dear Resurrection Family,
Our congregation has been praying weekly on Sundays for the election of the ACNA’s next archbishop. So, I’m glad to share with you Bp. Stewart’s video introducing the new Archbishop-elect, Bp. Steve Wood of the Diocese of the Carolinas, in this video taken from the Bishops’ Conclave in Pennsylvania.
“Archbishop-elect Steve is an incredible leader with a huge heart for mission, the lost, and church planting, and possesses a keen theological mind,” Bp. Stewart said. You can learn more about the archbishop’s role in this announcement from the Province.
Please join me in praying for Archbishop-elect Wood and his transition into the role next week. Please also join me in praying for all the delegates participating in the Provincial Council this Tuesday and Provincial Assembly this Wednesday through Friday. Bp. Stewart, Brenda Dumper, and Fr. Brett are attending from Resurrection, along with others from our Diocese. Pray for their wisdom as they review the Province’s proposed canonical amendments and much more.
