SUNDAY SERVICE TEAMS:

Worshipfully prepare and execute practical aspects of Sunday services as an offering to the Lord.
Commitment varies from 1-3 weeks per month. Browse options here.

WELCOME TEAM: Shepherd the congregation into the building and provide a welcoming environment for all. A great opportunity to serve if you are somewhat outgoing, gifted in hospitality, or a younger congregant (ages 16 and up, or serve with a parent!) but anyone can join. A great way to meet new people, this team is very accessible and requires minimal training. Volunteers serve 1-3 services per month as available; call time for this team is 45 minutes before service begins.

RezCafe: Serve our congregation coffee as we encourage fellowship and connection between services. Training for equipment required. Volunteers serve between services 1-2x per month as available.

ALTAR GUILD/BREAD BAKERS: Help prepare Eucharist and the Altar for services. Altar Guild is a cool opportunity to learn more about the liturgical elements of services. A good option for introverts, or for those who like a bit of quiet before or after a service, this team requires some training. New volunteers serve under the undersight of experienced members. Serve 1-3 Sundays/month for up to 30 minutes before, between, or after Sunday services; openings also available for bread bakers, who prepare bread in their homes 1x/month.

EUCHARIST MINISTRY: Our largest team! Participate in the service and learn what Rez believes about the Sacraments while serving communion to the congregation on Sunday mornings. More minimal time commitment; volunteers serve 1-3 Sundays/month during services only. Long-term attendees or members preferred. Some theological training required.

TECH TEAM: Enjoy learning new skills, seeing how things work behind the scenes, and working with lots of lights and buttons? Jump in and serve as a camera or lyrics operator, or train as an audio mixer or video director. Commitment is about once per month at either service.

LITURGICAL ROLES: Generally for members or long-term attendees, this team provides support for liturgical duties through the service such as carrying the cross for the procession (crucifers), helping with communion (acolytes), setting the table (altar servers), or reading Scripture (lectors).

MEDICAL RESPONSE TEAM: Do you work in a medical field, or are you up to date on your First-Aid certification? This team is currently in a recruitment and development stage, with a goal to launch soon. Each week, one team member will be present during a service to help in case of a medical emergency. Volunteers will be on-call one service per month and will receive training on Rez emergency procedures.

COMMUNICATIONS TEAM

An excellent choice if you need to volunteer remotely, members of this team specialize in a variety of areas related to our communications, such as preparing the weekly bulletin, copyediting, or designing graphic artwork for social media posts and bulletins.

DISCIPLESHIP TEAMS:

Worshipfully prepare and execute practical aspects of Sunday services as an offering to the Lord.

REZKIDS TEAMS: Shepherd children as they worship the Lord and develop friendships rooted in Christ by learning new skills and diving into Scripture and prayer together. This team works directly with children on Sunday mornings and/or Wednesday evenings. Time commitment varies based on role and availability. Volunteers must have attended Rez for at least 6 months, and training and child protection policies apply.

SUNDAY PRAYER MINISTERS: Our prayer ministers are trained to provide prayer to congregants on Sunday mornings during communion worship. Training includes a required two-week workshop and interview with Dcn. Valerie McIntyre. Email valmcintyre@churchrez.org to express interest or learn more.

FACILITY TEAMS

FACILITY SPECIAL PROJECTS TEAM: Handy people needed for the Resurrection Facility Small Projects team! Help keep our building beautiful and running smoothly with projects like furniture and mechanical repairs, painting, and simple electrical and plumbing work. Sign up for projects based on your availability.

SPECIAL EVENTS TEAM: Sign up to be on an email list to help with setup/teardown for church special events as they come up. All volunteers will be led by a trained staff person. No commitment or prior training needed; based on volunteer availability.
