John and Jenna Join Immanuel Anglican
Two years ago, in the fall of 2017, we welcomed John and Jenna Perrine as Church Planting Residents. With their tremendous energy and creativity, the Perrines have been a marvelous gift to Resurrection. We are especially grateful for John’s resourceful and catalytic leadership of our college students, and Jenna’s artistic leadership in the Easter Vigil readings.
We are delighted to share the next step in their ministry and planting journey: a call to Immanuel Anglican, planted out of Resurrection in 2013. John is joining the Immanuel staff team as Assistant Pastor, serving under Fr. Aaron Damiani with an emphasis on mission and outreach in Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood.
During their time here at Resurrection, John and Jenna have felt a strong tug towards the city. We are thrilled they’ll be staying in the family while learning more about planting and leading an urban church. Together with leaders here and at Immanuel, the Perrines will continue in discernment around the possibility of planting in Chicago in the future.
Please keep the Perrines in your prayers during this season of transition: as they sell their house in Elgin, move to the city, welcome their daughter in August, and join the staff team and congregation at Immanuel. We will have a formal opportunity to bless and send John and Jenna out into this new ministry season on a Sunday morning this fall.
