Sunday Morning

Daniel in the Lions Den
Daniel 6

Ponder Point: God Is the Living God

The prophet Daniel worked in the service of King Darius. Daniel was placed in charge of a group of men that did not like him. They convinced the king to make a new law that forced the people to pray to the king. Daniel loved God and prayed only to the one true God. The men knew this and told King Darius. The king had no choice but to put Daniel in the lions’ den. God protected Daniel from the lions. Daniel was saved, and the living God was praised.

God Wants Everyone to Know Him

Key Verse: Philippians 1:9-11
And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.
