Thank you for your generosity!

Dear Resurrection,
I’m excited to share this update about our West Lawn with you. Last November demolition of the former ACME building began. Brick walls were knocked down, piles of rubble formed and diminished, and the transformation process continued through the spring. We waited for months to be able to seed the lawn. The initial seeding of the lawn was planted a month ago, and the final seeding will take place this fall.
This spring we decided to remove the retaining wall that divided the two properties in order to remove any safety hazards for kids and add beauty to the property. The final obstacle was the removal of the remaining electrical boxes on the property. Last week our utility company finally cleared them! The result is a gentle grading of the lawn.
We are happy to share a time-lapse video portrayal of the West Lawn demolition project with you. Camera footage from our roof was combined with amazing drone footage into this powerful four-minute video below.
Your generosity and prayers have helped us reach this next step in the life of our congregation. The West Lawn will provide our community, friends, and neighbors with a place to both pray and play for years to come.
Now that demolition and seeding are near completed, our Vestry will look at the remainder of the funds from our Pray & Play Initiative and start planning for how the West Lawn becomes part of our community life together.
We still see a future of sports and recreation on a soccer field, picnic tables for gathering together, and Stations of the Cross for prayer walks throughout the year. Some of those dreams will be accomplished with the funds already raised last fall. We hope other aspects will be realized in the near future.
Look for more updates on the West Lawn this fall!
With love,
Steve +
