Allegri Miserere Recorded by Resurrection Chancel Choir

The Miserere is a setting of Psalm 51 composed by Gregorio Allegri during the 17th century to be sung during Holy Week. It divides the choir into three different sections: a chorus, a chanting group (men on this recording), and a quartet.

Resurrection’s Chancel Choir has sung Allegri’s Miserere at several of our Ash Wednesday and Good Friday services of the past few years. This new recording was made during the summer of 2013 and was recorded in the North Foyer of our building.
