Aviva Anglican Church (formerly Iglesia de la Resurrección) is a primarily Latino immigrant congregation which shares space here in the Cathedral building with the Church of the Resurrection. This growing diocesan congregation with families from Mexico, Bolivia, Guatemala, Honduras and Venezuela, is led by the Guzmán family from Mexico. It is part of the larger Aviva Parish which also has a location in Little Village, Chicago. Resurrection is excited to continue partnering together with Aviva to reach the growing Latino community in the DuPage County area.

Familia Guzmán / Guzmán family

Marco and Silvia Guzmán, originally from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, have three talented daughters. God called them to church planting in 2012. They serve three churches in the Latino community, Aviva Anglican Church in Chicago’s western suburbs, a church in the neighborhood of Little Village in the city of Chicago, and The Bridge Church in Santa Rosa, CA. As pastors they love to connect with people and participate in their spiritual growth, and work toward the mission to reach, preach and make disciples for Christ within the Latino community in the USA. They believe that if an individual is transformed, they transform their family, which transforms the church, which transforms their community, which finally transforms the world.
