Important Letter from Bishop Stewart

“For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you.” Psalm 86:5

Dear Resurrection Family,

Please read this important letter from Bishop Stewart to our diocesan family.

If you read through the Archbishop’s email and the documents released this week, I can only imagine the level of confusion they may have caused you. I know the Diocese is working to share more information and context as soon as possible. As soon as they do, we will pass that along to you.

At this moment, I want to convey to you all my absolute support for Bishop Stewart and the integrity with which he has walked through each step of this process over the last two years.

If you decide to engage with the information released this week, you can follow the links provided in Bishop Stewart’s email. They are laid out in the order they were released. I encourage you to read the decision from the Provincial Tribunal explaining their reasoning.

More importantly, I would ask all of you to answer our bishop’s call to fast and pray for our Diocese and Province tomorrow. Let us continue to be a people of prayer. We know that the Lord can take all circumstances and use them for the glory of his name!

Please respond to this email if you have any questions, and one of our pastors will get back to you as soon as possible next week.

With love for you all,

Fr. Steve Williamson
Cathedral Dean
