Are you an incredible host, handy with a screwdriver, or a toddler-whisperer? Enjoy getting to know others while using your gifts!
Shepherd the congregation into the building and provide a safe and welcoming environment for all. A great opportunity to serve if you are somewhat outgoing, gifted in hospitality, or a younger congregants (ages 12 and up can serve!) but anyone can join. A great way to meet new people, this team is very accessible and requires minimal training. Volunteers serve 1-3 services per month as available; call time for this team is 45 minutes before service begins.
ALTAR GUILD TEAM
Help prepare Eucharist and the altar for services. Altar guild is a cool opportunity to learn more about the liturgical elements of services. A good option for introverts or for those who like a bit of quiet before or after a service, this team requires some training. New volunteers serve under the oversight of experienced members first. Serve 1-2 Sundays/month for up to 30 minutes before, between, or after Sunday services.
Our largest team! Participate in the service and learn about what Rez believes about the Sacraments while serving communion to the congregation on Sunday morning. A more minimal time commitment; volunteers serve 1-3 Sundays a month during service only. Long-term attendees or members preferred. Some theological training required.
Enjoy learning new skills, seeing how things work behind the scenes, and working with lots of lights and buttons? Jump in and serve as a camera or lyrics operator, or train as an audio mixer or video director. Commitment is about once per month at either service.
An excellent choice if you need to volunteer remotely, members of this team specialize in a variety of areas related to our communications, such as preparing the weekly bulletin, copyediting, or designing graphic artwork for social media posts and bulletins.
Generally for members or long-term attendees, this team provides support on liturgical duties through the service, such as carrying the cross for the procession or helping set the altar before communion.
Help children to worship the Lord and develop friendships rooted in Christ by learning new skills and diving into Scripture and prayer together. This team works directly with children during services. Time commitment varies based on role and your availability. Volunteers must have attended Rez for at least 6 months prior, and training is required.
MEDICAL RESPONSE TEAM
Do you work in a medical field, or are you up to date on First Aid certification? Each week, one team member is present during a service to help in case of a medical emergency. Volunteers are on-call no more than one service per month, and receive training on Rez emergency procedures.
Handy people needed for the Resurrection Facility Projects team! Help keep our building beautiful and running smoothly with projects like furniture and mechanical repairs, painting, and simple electrical and plumbing work. Sign up for projects based on your availability.
SPECIAL SERVICE & HOLIDAY TEAMS
Our special services and holiday services provide the opportunity to use your creativity in many different ways, and we’re always in need of extra hands. Keep an eye out around Christmas, Holy Week, and other holidays for opportunities to jump into Choir, Visual Arts, Performance, and more!
Are you a musician? Help us your voice or instrumental talents to help people enter into worship. Sing in the choir or use your talents in worship services in various ways. Sign up for regular ministry or as able.
