I first came to Resurrection in 1997 as a teenager looking for a safe place to land, and it immediately felt like home. I spent the next decade or so out of state continuing my education, but visited every chance I got during college breaks. I knew this was a church that sought the Lord through prayer and worship, and that there was transformation happening here. I knew it because God met me here too.
My husband and I got married at Rez in 2015. We knew we wanted our family to love Scripture and revere the Lord. Rez gave us so many opportunities to worship with our children in these ways – both through weekly services and through RezKids. That’s why I feel honored to serve as the Interim Children’s Ministry Manager. I want to support leaders and volunteers as they shepherd little ones into a loving relationship with Jesus. And I’m excited to get to know our young families a little bit better.
In addition to serving in this role, I also volunteer in the nursery, serve on the Eucharist team, and co-lead and host a Rez group with my husband, Wade.
