I am a Wheaton-area native who is grateful to have benefitted from both the quality collection of people and rich Christian heritage of this area. I’ve been in relationship with the Lord for my entire life, and some of my earliest memories involve running rampant around youth group or learning the Lord’s prayer for the first time with my family.
Having grown up in the church, I consider myself to have been raised in faith by a community of believers, and fell in love early on with the Church as a movement and the communion of saints within. While at Wheaton College for my undergraduate degree I discovered (or, more accurately, acknowledged) a call to ministry – I was resistant and fearful, the Lord was persistent and faithful – and later stepped more fully into that call with an M.A. in Leadership & Ministry from Wheaton / HoneyRock.
I first came to Resurrection in 2018, and have loved having the opportunity to serve over the years in RezYouth, Harbor, on Holy Week teams, and now also with VBS. I have spent the past decade serving in the church, in Christian higher education, and working with campers and staff at HoneyRock – and have loved every second of the journey. My heartbeat is to build relationships with and walk alongside people, on mission together and in step with the Spirit. I hope to bring that same spirit to this role at Rez – continuing together to worship the Lord as our trustworthy God, as the God of love, and as one who seeks to both minister to us and partner with
us in his work in the world.
